We’re proud to provide nourishing, sustainable, local food to local people in our area.
One of our missions at The Husbandry School is to help with a transition; we need to move towards a future where lands and communities care for, look after and belong together more than they do at present. We believe that we need thriving land communities, and thriving small scale, local agriculture.
Local Veg Bags
Our team of growers cultivate delicious and nutritious vegetables lovingly grown right here at The Husbandry School just outside Bickington.
We deliver locally to Ashburton, Bickington, Buckfastleigh, Denbury, Newton Abbot and surrounding areas from as little as £13 each week.
Our veg bags include a type of greens (e.g. kale, salad or chard) plus potatoes, alliums (e.g. leeks, onions, shallots), carrots and 2-3 other items depending on the size of bag you’d like. Produce changes seasonally.

Husbandry Free-Range Meat
Our livestock are reared on our land with no nasties, plenty of space to roam and lots of care.
We maintain a herd of around 30 Boer Goats, a flock of around 40 sheep and a small family of Tamworth Pigs, from which we sell a variety of meat and goat & sheep skin rugs.
Our students on our Re-engage & Re-inspire programme are involved with the care of our animals, taking part in feeding, cleaning out, welfare checks and lambing & kidding season.
Caring for animals supports our empathy for living creatures, our environment and each other, and helps children to engage with concepts around our food system, nutrition, cookery, science and other learning areas.
